A Different Worship Experience

For now, worship on campus will not be the same as worship before the Coronavirus outbreak. You are invited to worship on-line or on-campus focused on giving an offering of your worship to Jesus.

  • Things That Will Be The Same

    • Continuing to live-stream worship at 10:00 a.m. each week
    • Exalting Jesus as Savior and Lord
    • Enjoying uplifting special music
    • Praying together
    • Reading Scripture
    • Hearing an inspiring God Moment
    • Participating in a relevant and Christ-centered message
  • Things That Will Be Different

    • No donuts
    • No greeting time
    • No offering plates passed
    • No Communion
    • No receiving line
    • No bulletins
    • No congregational singing
  • Things That Will Be Helpful

    • Social distanced seating
    • Hand sanitizer at each door
    • Masks available
    • Offering bucket at the back of the worship center
    • Welcome Team holding doors open
    • Entering only through East doors by the offices (other doors will be locked)
    • Exiting only through the North doors by the preschool (other doors will be locked)

Additional Considerations

Please stay home if you have a health issue, if you are sick, and/or if you are nervous about worshipping around other people. Stay home if you cannot be flexible, patient, and open to a different worship experience. Instead, join your First Church family for our live stream worship at facebook.com/firstchurchnp at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 19th.

We encourage you to wear a mask in the church and to use hand sanitizer when you enter and exit the church. Not everyone will wear a mask, but be bold and do what you need to do to be safe. We will have masks available for those who do not have one.

This decision has not been an easy one for our leadership team; there are still some concerns. Please pray for First Church, for our leadership team, and for our staff team as we do our best to reopen on-campus worship. May we continue to worship the Lord with all of our hearts and love one another like Jesus loves us.
